Timothy Hoff, Ph.D.

Timothy Hoff is Associate Professor of Health Policy and Management at the University at Albany School of Public Health, where he co-directs the Policy and Management Track of the Masters in Public Health Program. He also recently was a Visiting Fellow at Oxford University's Said School of Business.

Dr. Hoff is a two-time winner of the School of Public Health's Excellence in Teaching Award. He is an accomplished health services researcher who studies quality improvement and improvement and innovation in health care. He has published over 35 articles and book chapters. His research has won national awards from the Academy of Management, American Sociological Association, and the Society for Applied Anthropology.

He is on the editorial board of the health services journals Medical Care Research and Review and Health Care Management Review, and is a member of the health services research study section of the Agency for Healthcare Research Quality.  Currently, he is teh Division Chair-Elect for the Health Care Management Division of the Academy of Management.

Before coming to academia, Dr. Hoff worked for a decade as an administrator and consultant in the health care industry.
